Dear lybrate-user I must appreciate your views that you want to see your mother live longer. May god bless her. But she is having type 1 dm so she is on insulin right now. She has to follow timely meals and also keep a watch on her insulin dosage as well. Please do remember that people on insulin shots have a habit of going into hypoglycemia or low sugar condition. Please take care of that. While as she can have all the green leafy veggies, watermelon, jackfruit (now jackfruit atta is famous amongst the diabetics), 1 small banana once a day etc. She can have a fruit platter instead of whole fruits like a mix of apples, oranges, some grapes, watermelon etc. Now summer season is approaching so her hydration level has to be maintained as well. For any further assistance, please contact me separately on my email email with reports. Thanks!
